MATERIALS | 100% Up-Cycled Cotton coated with Organic Beeswax, Organic Jojoba Oil, and Organic Tree Resin. Packaged in FSC & Recycled materials.
STYLE NOTES | Our DELANO wax wraps are our first up-cycled product. These wraps have had a previous life as one of our woven leisure garments. When their original owner was done with it, they sent it back to us. We quality checked and sanitized the returned product, and then we up-cycle it by adding organic beeswax, organic jojoba oil, and organic tree resin, now the fabric can then have another life. Wax wraps last a long time, are reusable and can be “renewed” with the instructions below, they are also fully biodegradable. The BEALE print is a broken-up graphic stripe in faded shades of navy. Think modern oil paintings meets utilitarian color. Thus why we named it for the US Airforce base in Northern California.
•Edges are finished with pinking sheers to deter fraying•Set includes 2-4.5” round, 1-8” round, 1-10” round, 1-12” round
SUSTAINABILITY | Up-cycled nearshore cotton from Colombia, Brazil, and the United States. Fiber is then spun and woven into fabric in Medellin, Colombia, at the country’s largest mill. This mill has circular sustainable programs for energy and water, as well as robust recycling programs for all waste. They are also active in their community through local social and ecological impact programs. The fabric is dyed and printed in Medellin with partners that have both water relaxation and recycling programs to offset their environmental impact. Our Bee’s wax, organic jojoba oil, and organic tree resin are all biodegradable.
CARE | Wax Wraps are all-natural, high quality, easy to use replacements for plastic wrap and foil. Wrap your food, containers, and more. To care for your wraps, hand-wash with cold water and alcohol-free soap. The wrap washes like a plate in cold water and can handle a light scrub with a gentle dishcloth or sponge. Do not let soak for a prolonged period. Dry your freshly washed wrap with a towel for immediate use or place over a dish rack. Do not wring. Over time, the wax will slowly start to break down or flake off a little. This is normal, and you can still continue to use the wraps. If your beeswax wraps start looking tired, you can also refresh them by placing it between two sheets of parchment paper and applying a warm iron quickly. Remove and hold edges while the wax re-sets.
