What makes Everist super clean?
The Everist's 100% plant-based formulas are free-from harmful chemicals as well as parabens, sulfates, dyes and synthetic fragrances. However, what really sets them apart is that due to their waterless innovation (water feeds bacteria growth), they are able to bypass traditional preservatives, which is almost unheard of in the beauty industry.
Are Everist products safe for colored or chemically treated hair?
Yes. The Everist dosen't use any sulfates or other harsh surfactants that can strip color away. Their products are completely safe whether your hair is bleached, dyed, permed or straightened.
Do they contain parabens and other chemical preservatives?
Nope. In fact the Everist's waterless formulas are safely synthetic preservative-free.
What about sulfates, triclosan, and dyes?
Nope. 100% free!
How about fragrance?
The Everist is free of phthalates and synthetic fragrance. They do use some essential oils for their hair and skin benefits, including bergamot, orange, rosemary, clary sage and peppermint, which they will always be clearly listed on the label. They smell pretty great too!
Are they vegan + cruelty-free?
Yes, because no one (including you and our furry friends) should get hurt for the sake of beauty.
Are they non-GMO?
You bet.
How about gluten-free?
The Everist's formulas do not contain gluten-based ingredients, however since their formulas are plant-based there is a small chance for traces of gluten from where they are produced.
Are haircare concentrates good for scalp health?
Yes, we know your scalp is skin too. The Everist uses ingredients like aloe vera to soothe and nourish and peppermint to increase blood circulation which aids in healthy hair growth. Think of it as skincare for your scalp!
Are body wash concentrates good for my skin?
Yes, Everist believes your body wash should do more than just cleanse your skin - it should condition too. They've therefore removed the water and packed these formulas with skincare ingredients like aloe vera and betaine that soothe and hydrate the skin the more you work it in. A true multi-tasker.
Are they safe for our water systems?
The Everist cares about what goes on your skin, as well as down the drain and into our water systems. They chose plant-based and biodegradable ingredients over the widely used petroleum-derived, synthetic ingredients for this reason.

Why aluminum tubes?
Aluminum is one of the most recycled - and most recyclable - materials on the market today. It can be recycled directly back into itself over and over again in a true closed loop. This infinite recyclability makes it one of the most valuable materials in your recycling bin, that actually funds the majority of curbside recycling programs. Aluminum is also light (that's less carbon to ship) and durable (perfect for the shower). And yes, it doesn't rust!
Is aluminum packaging safe?
Yes. Although you don't want aluminum in your products, the Everist's aluminum tubes have a BPA-free epoxy lining making them food-grade and medical-grade safe.
Is Everist BPA-free?
You bet! Sadly this chemical is still widely used in polycarbonate and PVC plastic, the most common plastic packaging used in cosmetics and personal care products.
What makes our paper carton special?
The Everist's kraft carton is carbon neutral and recyclable. Printed on 100% recycled paper (meaning no trees were cut down to make it).
Why the plastic cap?
Turns out we needed a plastic cap so your tubes don't leak. The Everist explored other materials such as bamboo and metal, but they all still had plastic on the inside, and multi-material layers are even harder to recycle. Therefore, they reduced their caps down as small as possible, made them from #1 PET plastic and highlighted them in yellow as a reminder we can always do better. They then created a CapBack program to ensure this plastic gets a second life by upcycling it into future Everist products.
Product Usage
How do I use a waterless body wash concentrate?
In the shower, simply wet hands and body. Slide tube key over top of tube and roll down gently to dispense a pea-size to a 1-inch strip of the concentrate paste, depending on your desired lather. Rub to lather up in wet hands or on a sponge or loofah and scrub-a-dub, working into skin for 30 seconds for maximum conditioning. Rinse well.
How do I use a waterless shampoo concentrate?
In the shower, simply wet hair and hands. Place metal tube key provided over top of tube and roll down gently to dispense a 1 inch strip of the concentrate into palm (for mid-length hair). Rub hands to activate. Thoroughly wet hair and work from root to tip for at least 30 seconds to build a rich, creamy lather in hair. Rinse well. Adjust dose as needed for optimal lather.
How do I use a waterless conditioner concentrate?
Similar to the shampoo, place metal tube key provided over top of tube and roll down gently to dispense a 1 inch strip of the concentrate into palm (for mid-length hair). Rub hands to activate. Thoroughly wet hair and work the serum-like conditioner from ends to roots for 3 minutes then rinse well. Adjust dose as needed.
How much concentrate should I use?
The Everist's waterless concentrates are packed with only the pure, active ingredients that your hair and skin needs. A small amount goes a long way. However, it is important to get the right dose for your hair type. Think a 1/2 inch strip for short hair, a 1 inch strip for medium hair and a 1 1/2 inch strip for very long, thick hair. For body, the Everist suggests a 1/2 inch to 1 inch strip. When paired with their Konjac Sponge, a little will go a long way. Adjust dose as needed for optimal lather. The WOW moment really comes once hair and skin is dry, so Everist suggests testing a few times to get your dose just right!
How do I get the most lather?
The Everist's sulfate-free formulas build a remarkable rich, creamy lather, without stripping the natural sebum oil barrier. Don't let those big suds from sulfates fool you - gentle cleansers do the hard work to remove excess dirt and oil, but don't strip your microbiome leaving your skin hydrated and your hair happy. For the shampoo, make sure your hair is very wet and to spend the full 30 seconds in the shower standing out of direct water to build up the lather in your hair. You'll feel the lather swell as your hair acts like a loofah! If you're still left wanting more, one tip is to try micro-dosing (like double-cleansing, for your hair). Use a small amount of shampoo first to remove excess oil and go back a second time with a little less than your regular dose of shampoo. Especially good for those that want to extend time between washes. For body wash, we suggest using with a biodegradable sponge or loofah for maximum suds. You'll feel the difference!
What is the best way to prevent tangles?
The Everist's conditioner concentrate is packed with plant-based ingredients that give a silicone-like slip for easy detangling. Unlike silicone, these ingredients don't build up on hair, leaving a healthy, lightweight feel. For best results, run a wide tooth comb through your hair before rinsing out your conditioner and rinse gently. Always start combing near your ends and work up to prevent breakage and leave hair feeling smooth. Treat hair gently when it's wet and most vulnerable to breakage. Don't rub wet hair excessively with a towel, press and squeeze instead. Once dry, you'll notice visible silkiness and shine. Healthy, happy hair feels noticeably soft.
How long should I expect the product to last?
This really depends on your hair type and how often you wash your hair and body. The Everist generally suggests washing your hair every 3-4 days to keep your hair and scalp clean and nourished (no need to over wash your hair - those natural oils are a good thing). With generous-sized dosing for long hair, you would get 30+ washes, so a 100ml tube would last at least 12 weeks and for shorter hair, much longer! For body, you may want to wash more frequently every 1-2 days, at a generous 1 inch dose, you'll get 30+ washes, however with the konjac sponge, 1/2 inch is often all you'll need, so a 100ml tube would last 8-12 weeks!
