STYLE NOTES | Asawa is a superhero version of a traditional onsen kimono with a nod to the extraordinary quality of Japanese design and named for the avant-guard California born Japanese American sculptor Ruth Asawa. She was a rule-breaker, so why not join her and wear this ridiculously comfortable yet polished style 24/7. The details run deep, caballo seams throughout with substantial design decisions, the collar, the ties, the wrapping side seams, and the sculpted hem. It is made of a crisp, clean 100% nearshore cotton poplin that will get better with wear. Our PILOT tie-dye is an artisanal indigo pattern crafted by hand in Medellin, Colombia. It was named for one of our founders' fathers hippie artist 1970’s summers in Pilot Hill, California.
